other than general cases involving blood prohibitions...are you aware of instances of jws or exjws who have suffered health issues as a result of obedience to wts medical dictates?.
i'm thinking specifically of those who were denied vaccinations or organ transplants and i would also include those who were denied hemophelac preparations from 1975 - 1978.. any known or documented examples would be appreciated..
W/T allows vaccinations in this day and age, right
Yeah they allow them now . . . STILL, many JWs are of the personality type that is emotion driven and often go for conspiracy theories/'natural' cures, etc. That's what led them to be JWs in the first place. So I know a number of them that gravitate towards viewing vaccinations as government conspiracy/causing autism etc. and won't have their kids inoculated.

hoser:
That has nothing to do with the question, which is a very valid one, and one that may become quite relevant if JWs are ever to be taken to account before the governments for human rights abuses. And BTW, most people don't smoke, and most people aren't JWs.
DNA? What about all the white blood cells in milk?
since we were jws at one time, has it influenced your view as to where your dead loved ones are now?
i know many here do not believe in anything biblical but i’m curious as to whether you believe anyone is in heaven?
?.
Perry:
Thanks so much for that link, it's very comforting. I love the concept of our brain being a receptor, a conduit for our 'real' conciousness in the spirit realm. On the similar subject of near death experiences, JWs would always insist such things were the product of mental illness, the subconscious, or demon tricks . . . That Samuel wasn't actually Samuel talking to Saul . . . That Moses and Elijah talking with Jesus were just spiritual holograms . . . That Abraham being in heaven in Jesus' illustration was just creative license . . . In the words of Han Solo in The Force Awakens:
"It's true . . . All of it."
If i strangle a smurf how do i know its dead?
You need to burn it . . . But it WON'T BURN!!

I'm sorry minimus, that's understandable.

I believe there is too much going for the spirit realm to discount it. I don't believe in any iteration of a physical Paradise. If there's to be an afterlife, it's not related to our dimension.
... and apparently justin trudeau wears them.
also, they can come off or slip down while you are doing a press-conference to a global audience.

From the above linked article:
we have no way of knowing the biases of the fact checkers at Snopes – we simply have to trust
Disagree. Bias in this case is mostly irrelevant, and likewise trust has little to do with it. Have there been times when I disagreed with their stamp of "True", "False", etc? Absolutely. But that's not really important, as the articles virtually always give the references necessary to reach your own conclusion. I lean towards conservative, but even when they insert subtle digs or irrelevant information I, really anyone with a brain can look past that. And BTW they have defended and debunked many anti conservative rumors as well.
Snopes fact checks typically do not mention contacting the authors of the articles about those events to see if those reporters claim to have additional corroborating material
Flat out false. That's pretty standard practice that I've seen in multiple articles.
